Sugarloaf

Yesterday, Babo and I went for a long hike in the Hudson Highlands, our current territory for exploration. The last climb on our journey (Breakneck Ridge and Notch to Wilkinson Memorial Trails) was up Sugarloaf Mountain. We found ourselves wondering why so many mountains were named Sugarloaf. There was obviously going to be a simple, and surely had to do with the shape of a sugarloaf, whatever the hell that is. Well, a sugarloaf is the pre-cubed sugar form of retail sugar, a conical mound. Mystery solved.
