So, while it toook four of my colleagues and I a couple of years to co-edit a book, it turns out that another colleague has just gone ahead and written one himself. Bankruptcy to Billions comes out soon from Oxford University Press and is being translated into multiple languages of the Sub-Continent. Shagun Mehrotra’s book–with a Deputy Minister’s name attached–describes the three year turnaround of the railroad ministry in India and is touted to support a positive role for government in the business of providing public goods.

I’m just amazed. Shagun is nothing if not a hyperactive, determined, brain-powered machine. And the boy is going places.
